Are You Familiar with Texas Gun Laws?

Recently, Texas state representative Armando Martinez has introduced a bill stemming from an incident that happened to him on New Year’s Eve near Dallas. He was hit in the head, by a bullet, likely coming from nearby celebratory New Year’s Eve gunfire. The bullet came millimeters from ending his life.  This practice is common in low-income areas, and poses a serious threat to civilians in nearby areas. The bill he is introducing will make shooting a gun recklessly, without a reasonable target, to be a class A misdemeanor. Felony charges will follow if someone is hit by a bullet.
