Record Expunctions / Non-Disclosure

Lewisville Expungement Lawyers

Expunging Your Criminal Record

If you are charged with or convicted of a crime in Texas, this information may go on your public record for the rest of your life. It could be forwarded to the Texas Department of Public Safety and kept on file at the Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

Even if you were found not guilty or your charges were dismissed, the information may remain in the public record. If you apply for a new job, get insurance, or want to purchase a home, people doing background checks may be able to access your record.

Criminal defense law firm Julian, Crowder & Shuster, P.C., of Lewisville, can help you seek an expunction. Send us an e-mail for more information.

Seeking to clear your criminal record? Call an experienced attorney to guide you through the process of expunging your record: 972.315.6222.

A criminal charge or conviction does not need to follow you the rest of your life. If you want to have your record sealed, our criminal defense attorneys can seek to have your criminal record expunged or petition for an order of non-disclosure.

Expunging a Criminal Record

It is important to have a lawyer who is well versed in securing expunctions for his clients. Our attorneys perform a significant number of expunctions annually and stay current with Texas expunction law as it changes.

Our attorneys help people clear their record if they had a criminal case that was:

  • Dismissed
  • Declined
  • Resulted in a not guilty verdict
  • Resolved in a deferred disposition

Are You Eligible for an Order of Non-Disclosure?

If you have completed deferred adjudication probation (class B misdemeanors, class A misdemeanors and some felonies), Texas law allows you to prevent your record from being disclosed to the public. A judge signs the order of non-disclosure, which prohibits Texas state and any other public agencies from sharing any information about your record.

For most misdemeanor cases, our lawyers can petition for an order of non-disclosure immediately after your probation is completed. There is a wait time of two years for some misdemeanors and a five year wait time for some felonies.

Call 972.315.6222 to arrange a free initial consultation with an experienced expungement attorney to see if you qualify for expunging or non-disclosure of your criminal record. Send us an e-mail.
